Tim: Well here we have it folks, the 2025 Snooze Summer Fest is here. While I am half joking, it has become a meme that Geoff is overhyping his shows and good for him. Personally I am lean to be an optimist so if you see a game that perks your interest the show should be worth it!

One key takeaway that I have observed is this: a LOT of journalists reported that game publishers and developers are actively avoiding the big looming behemoth: Rockstar Games' GTA 6, yet based on this show it seems exactly the opposite! The majority of the games that were announced (keep scrolling to see them all, Spawn really worked a lot to find the trailers for you our dear reader!) have either the 2026 release year or were announced to be in development so there is definitely a discrepancy regarding this fact.

Nobody will deny that GTA 6 will take a lot of people's time and money, but if you think that the gaming industry will stop to a halt because of it you are delusional!

Now that I am done rambling and nitpicking let's go and check out the trailers of the future games we will play!

I provided some commentary on the trailers that caught my eye but just want to let you know that there were many games that didn't interest me or caught my eye, and that is totally fine, maybe you were interested so let us know which announcement surprised you!

Mortal Shell 2

Genre: Action, likely a soulslike.

Death Stranding 2

Genre: Action, Strand. Open-world action-adventure.

Tim: not gonna lie, knowing we will have a separate showcase for this game, the cutscene presented felt like a filler just to have more eyes on the game. It wasn't even a hype moment just a conversation between 2 new characters. Moving on... 🤨

Chronicles Medieval

Genre: Medieval Sandbox, RPG.

Tim: ok so leaving aside the CGI trailer, the gameplay snippet totally gave me a Total War vibe, where you command massive armies, I really hope you can control a character as well, my dream is a mix of Total War and Musou type genres and this game totally has that vibe! I am interested and wanna see more 👀🔥

Sonic Racing Cross Worlds

Genre: Kart racing.

Tim: Is this smash brothers x karting?!?! One of the biggest surprises, I am now confident that the Cross Worlds name is actually literal, Minecraft, Yakuza and Persona characters in the same racing game is fun and exciting 👀
