Introduction
Some games are meant to be relaxing where everything is under your control and you just don't realize how quickly the time passes and Leafy Corner is JUST THAT!
Hey everyone, this is Spawn and today we are going to talk about this cozy indie game called Leafy Corner. This game is available now in all platforms and I was fortunate enough to get a review copy from the devs. I played this game on Steam and that's the experience I am about to share with you all in this video.

Deep Dive
The game starts with a character creator that allows you to customize your character the way you want. It is very simple with plenty of option to chose from and I'm sure you will find a look in there that you like!
As you proceed further the game introduces you to quick tutorial which is very simple and straight forward. Game supports both Keyboard and mouse and I found keyboard and mouse to be more convenient for this game.
Once you go through the tutorials you are pretty much set. All you have to do is buy a plant, buy a pot to put the plant in, place the plant in your shop and water it for it to grow! Now, you can also place furniture in your shop and place your plants on them. The game offers plenty of options to decorate your shop.
Once you have some plants set up in your shop customers start stopping by and purchase the plant for which you get coins in return. Then you use those coins to buy even more plants and furniture and continue to grow your shop and expand it.
Talking about expansions, you can expand your shop a total of 2 times buy buying the plots.
As you sell more and more plants you unlock some in-game achievements, these tasks are like sell X number of plants or help these many people etc. and once you complete those tasks you get leaf tokens that you can use to unlock new plants that you can sell in your shop. Not only you unlock more plants but you also unlock more pots more decorations and furniture as well!
One thing I must say is that this gameplay loop of selling more plants to unlock more plant sand expand you shop is very addictive. I played this game straight for 9 hours and there is still more to do.

Diving Deeper
Now there are couple of more things in game that keeps things fresh. One such thing is that a customer may come in not knowing what exact plant they want but they will give you a hint and you have to identify from those hint what plants they want, if you select the wrong plant, they get upset and leave the shop. It does not have any adverse effect in your shop but it's just a missed opportunity to make some extra coins.
Other thing is that as you gain reputation you unlock a feature where now you can take orders for multiple plants. A customer calls you, places an order and then you have to plant and grow those plants to make a good chunk of money. Of course you can also decline those orders as well.
One more thing to mention is that you also unlock the variegated plants as you progress in the game and the good thing about variegated plant is that you can branch them out to another pot for no additional cos, so it's like selling a plant for double the profit.
When you are playing this game you just don't realize where the time went, it's a very cozy game and I loved every second of it.
The background music is very soothing and it felt just perfect for a cozy game. There were no performance issue in the game that I found, it was smooth sailing all along.

Any Areas of Improvement?
To be honest there is not a lot to improve here but the only thing that I wanted that I thought was missing was the lack of search option for plants, either by name or by their properties.
You see there is about 100 plants in the game, and sometimes when the order comes in for a plant type, it takes a bit of time to scroll and figure out what plant exactly it it. It wasn't too much of an issue but it would be nice to have.

Conclusion
In short, I reallly enjoyed my time with this cozy game Leafy Corner and I'm pretty confident you will like it too, the game was a breeze and sometimes its all you need. There is a demo for it available on Steam so go check it out and let me know what you think of it in the comments section!
Alright I don't hink I've anything else to add so that pretty much wraps thsi up. Thsanks for checking it out and I'll see you guys in the next one!
The review is also available in Video Format.
Leafy corner is a game where you own a cute little plant shop and all you have to do is take care of plants. sell them and expand your business, that's the core gameplay loop of this game. This game is self-published by Fireline Games studio and is built on Unreal Engine.
Before we dive into the details here is a quick fun fact, this game is made by a husband and wife who feel strongly about plants and wanted to share that joy with the world through the medium of gaming. I'll leave the steam link in the description in case you fell like playing it.
Alright, so let's dive a little bit into it!
